Salman Khan’s nerves at it again, to go to US for treatment
Salman Khan is all set to start shooting for his brother Sohail Khan’s film Mental which is a remake of the south film Stalin. But then there is a small hitch. He has to fly down to the US for the second leg of treatment for Trigeminal Neuralgia. Sohail Khan confirmed this. “Yes, he has to go for further treatment. He will fly down when he has time,” says Sohail Khan.
The statement from Sohail clearly indicates that a treatment is needed, but then there is no real urgency for it as Salman is not feeling excruciating pain at the moment. Having said that Salman who underwent a jaw surgery in USA and thought that the pain was gone for good, only to return. “I am told that the pain can go away in three months, three years or even six years,” Salman had said then.
A while back when there were stories that the pain had returned, Salman’s father Salim Khan had denied the news. “The news is far from truth. Salman is absolutely fit and fine,” said Salim.
Salman had first experienced the pain when he was shooting for Ready adn had flown to the US for treatment and then returned to shoot for 'Ek Tha Tiger'.
But when Salman was shooting in Cuba for Yash Raj Films’ ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, the actor had revealed that the cold weather had affected his nerves leading to pain. In Trigeminal Neuralgia the patient feels excruciating pain in facial nerves.
Arbaaz Khan had ensured that he used body doubles for all the stunts in Dabangg 2 much against the wishes of his actor brother because he did not want to trouble him.
Sohail and Sajid Nadiadwala who is directing Kick have also ensured that they are using doubles for all the action sequences in their respective films going on the floors this year to ensure that Salman does not exert himself in any way.
