Kapil Sharma's hit comedy show, 'Comedy Nights with Kapil' seems to have become the favourite destination for film promotions.

Whether, it's Bollywood's superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit or Ranbir Kapoor, everyone make a beeline for the sets of Kapil's show.

This time it's the turn of the cast of Imtiaz Ali's upcoming film 'Highway'. Alia Bhatt along with lead actor Randeep Hooda and Director Imitiaz Ali will be seen on the show this week.

In Highway, director Imtiaz Ali tells the story of a girl who is kidnapped and taken to a safe house where she is to be held captive till the demands of the kidnappers is fulfilled.

Initially, scared and confused, the girl, played by Alia Bhatt, starts enjoying the freedom she gains in captivity.

She also ends up falling in love with her kidnapper (Randeep Hooda) and the two share some tender moments during their journey.

One-film-old Alia Bhatt was cute in a lemon yellow top with light coloured skinny jeans and nude-peep-toes.

Randeep on the other hand kept it cool in a leather jacket and denims, while Kapil wore a navy blue blazer and jeans.

The unusual pairing of Alia and Randeep comes as a fresh breath of air, and surprisingly enough their chemistry translates well on the screen.

While 'Highway's' beautiful locales is one of the highlights of the film, it's Alia who manages to steal your attention in every frame.

From playing a rich, spoilt babe in 'Student of The Year' to essaying the part of a girl yearning for freedom; the Bhatt girl has come a long way for sure.

With talented actors, a soulful background score and a fluid narrative, Highway seems to be the kind of film that has something for everyone.

In 'Comedy Nights with Kapil', Daadi/grandmother (Ali Asgar), who is known for her wacko style, has always left audiences' in splits.

Daadi was on a no-holds-barred spree and didn’t miss a single chance to flirt with the good-looking actor.

Ali Asgar almost 'manhandled' Randeep on his quest to get the customary kiss from male guests in the show.

The highlight of the show was when Daadi did a Khatiyaa dance with Randeep on a popular dance number. Randeep, who is always known for his serious roles, will give audiences a sneak peek into his funny side when he flirts with Daadi.

Alia also tried to match the energy of the boys in the show and sang a few lines with the host Kapil Sharma besides matching her steps with Daadi.

Director Imtiaz Ali is on cloud nine with the response his road drama ‘Highway’ received at the 64th Berlin International Film Festival.

Imtiaz Ali, 42, said while he was nervous about the screening and the audience’s response, his leading lady Alia Bhatt was concerned about his red carpet outing. The premiere was also attended by music composer A R Rahman and actor Randeep Hooda.

'Highway' is set to hit the screen this Thursday in the UAE.
