Severed human head found under a tree in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Police has found a severed human head lying near a tree in the Al Samha area of the emirate. The headless and partly decomposed body was found buried in the sand under a tree in the desert.

Colonel Dr Rashid Mohammed Borshid, Director of Criminal Investigation in Abu Dhabi Police, said police is trying to identify the dead person.

Col. Borshid said the body seems to be that of an Asian bulldozer driver of a construction company who has been missing since mid-September 2012.

Police said the dead person seems to have been killed with a machete and the body had three stab wounds.

Police has arrested one person on suspicion of covering up the crime. Two others are also suspected. Both had left the UAE for home within three days of the crime, citing urgent reasons, police said.
