First it was actor Shah Rukh Khan who was summoned by an Indian court for smoking in public and now it's another actor Ranbir Kapoor.

Ranbir Kapoor, who is presently in Udaipur, Rajasthan, has been summoned by an Udaipur court for smoking in public.

He has to make his appearance in court on June 26.

The actor is shooting in Udaipur for his film 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani' with Deepika Padukone.

A complaint was filed by a resident who spotted pictures in a local newspaper of the actor smoking on the sets.

Reports suggest Ranbir will be booked for violating Section 5 of the Rajasthan Prevention of Smoking Act.

The Rajasthan Prevention of Smoking Act caveat dictates that if a person is found guilty of smoking in public places, he can be sentenced to a maximum imprisonment of six months or a fine of INR 200.

This come exactly a month after Shah Rukh Khan was summoned by a Jaipur (Rajasthan) court for publicly smoking.

He was captured on camera smoking in a cricket stadium during an IPL match. He has later pleaded guilty for the offence. He sought exemption from personal appearance in a Jaipur court and expressed willingness to pay the fine.

Ranbir also finds himself in similar circumstances for following the footstep of his senior in the industry; he might as well go to him for further legal consultation.
