To ensure smooth flow of traffic during the holy month of Ramadan, Abu Dhabi Police have issued a change in the time of ban on trucks in the capital.
The Traffic and Patrols Directorate has issued a statement that says trucks weighing above 2.5 tonnes will not be able to enter Abu Dhabi City and Al Ain City roads between 7.30am and 9.30am and between 1pm and 3pm.
The police will also intensify its presence on roads to catch violators who face fines of up to Dh10,000 and suspension of driving licence for three months.
