With cloudy skies threatening more rain over the next two days, traffic began to ease across the UAE with a break in wet weather.

However, residents of Al Nahda, Sharjah claimed that several areas are still water logged.

“Water level has not come down even on some main roads,” one resident told this website.

Certain low-lying pockets in the Sharjah Industrial area and Ajman also continued to remain covered with water.

In Deira and Bur Dubai as well, water logging had eased.

“The National Paints area in Sharjah has ongoing construction activities and both sides of the road are dug up.

“If the water level goes beyond a certain limit, small cars and vehicles will get stuck, because water will enter the vehicle engines,” another resident said. “

On Friday, Emirates Road was partially flooded. Exits to the Sonapur Labour Camp and Mohsina area was closed.
