A fight between two men in a church caused one of them permanent disability estimated at one per cent, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

JAK, 48, driving trainer, is accused of physically assaulting and abusing KDS and causing him one per cent permanent disability.

KDS, 33, office boy, is also accused of physically assaulting and abusing JAK.

The first witness JDT, 32, salesman, testified that while he was standing on the stairs of the Trinity Church with KDS, who was distributing drinks to visitors, JAK came and objected.

“He started talking to KDS in a bad way. A verbal duel developed into physical fighting. KDS was bleeding because of a wound in one of his fingers. So the police was notified,” he testified.

ABS, 55, repeated the same testimony.

The court will reconvene on January 21.
