The daggers are drawn and the master of the pre-match mind games, Manchester United’s Sir Alex Ferguson has done Arsenal and old foe Arsene Wenger a favour ahead of Arsenal’s crucial tie against Chelsea this afternoon.

While most of the English Premier League is divided over the four-match ban the FA has handed Chelsea skipper John Terry, Sir Alex believes Terry might consider himself lucky as his ban is half the length of the one handed out to Liverpool's Luis Suarez.

Chelsea skipper JT will wait for the written findings of the FA disciplinary hearing before deciding if he should appeal.

He said: “The fact he got a four-game ban, he may consider that is quite lenient considering Luis Suarez got eight.

“It is time to move on and so should the game.”

That is likely to increase the pressure on Terry ahead of the clash with Arsenal.

Wenger, meanwhile, insists Arsenal are not focused on John Terry.

Wenger said: “We do not want Chelsea to be weaker. We want to beat a Chelsea team that has all their assets and we do not even think about that.

“What we focus on is on our side, try to be at the best possible level, because, anyway Chelsea has 25 players of top level.”

Terry was handed a four-match ban and a £220,000 fine by the FA after being found guilty of using a racist slur towards QPR'S Anton Ferdinand in October 2011.
