Farah Al Khojai, the UAE’s first equestrienne to represent her country in the Pan Arab Games, is celebrating her recent success at the Pan Arab Games in Qatar.

The competition, where she won the bronze medal for her performance in the individual rounds on her new mare Mazurka Grafin Dubai Duty Free, is her best performance yet in an international competition representing the UAE.

“I am thrilled to have achieved such a fantastic result and to win the bronze medal for the UAE. I have only had my mare Mazurka for a few months and I couldn’t be happier with how she is developing. I am also extremely grateful for the continued support of my sponsors, Dubai Duty Free and Equitrans,” said Khojai.

The talented sportswoman was the only entrant from the UAE in the dressage rounds.

More than 6,000 athletes representing 22 countries are participating at the Pan Arab Games this year which is running until December 23 in Doha.

Riding high on her past successes at the Pan Arab Games and the Asian Games in 2010 where she placed 13th overall, Khojai is setting her sights on representing the UAE at the Olympic Games in 2016.

“To participate at the Olympics and represent my country is a lifelong ambition of mine. I know achieving this ambition will not be easy, and I am extremely appreciative of all the support I have received from my family, friends and sponsors to help me one day realise this goal.”
