A Saudi man divorced his young wife after she wanted to joke with him by placing flowers on her head to act as a bride in a public place.
The man was strolling with his wife in a park in the Gulf Kingdom when she bought flowers and fixed them on her head in line with old wedding tradition.
He then asked her to remove the flowers when he saw an old friend, who greeted the couple and joked with the man whether he would accept him husband to that woman.
“The friend thought the woman with the flowers on her head was the man’s daughter not wife…he asked jokingly if he can marry her,” Sada newspaper said.
“The husband felt embarrassed and hurried back home, where he had a heated argument with his wife before divorcing her,” the paper added without mentioning where in Saudi Arabia the incident happened.
