Dubai Police deploy 36 robots as AI takes on bigger role across operations
Force completes 104 technology projects and records more than 99.9% service continuity as they expand artificial intelligence across policing and public services.

Dubai: Dubai Police have completed 104 strategic and operational technology projects over the past year and deployed 36 robotic process automation (RPA) robots across administrative and operational functions as part of their ongoing digital transformation programme.
The achievements were reviewed by Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, during his annual inspection of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence, where he examined performance indicators, operational readiness and key technology projects supporting the future of policing in Dubai.
During the review, Lt Gen Al Marri was briefed on the department’s progress in digital transformation, smart systems and technology-driven services.
Dubai Police said the completion of 104 projects reflects their continued efforts to use artificial intelligence and advanced technologies to support policing operations and improve efficiency across various sectors.
The force has also deployed 36 robots to carry out a range of administrative and operational tasks. Dubai Police said the robots help accelerate procedures, increase productivity and reduce routine workloads, allowing personnel to focus on more specialised responsibilities.
Dubai Police reported high levels of digital reliability during the year, with public service continuity reaching 99.97 per cent and system continuity reaching 99.92 per cent.
Lt Gen Al Marri also reviewed Dubai Police’s artificial intelligence transformation plan, which aims to expand the use of AI across policing, administrative and operational activities. The plan focuses on using data to support decision-making and developing proactive solutions that improve response times, operational efficiency and service quality.
Officials also presented the Dubai Police AI platform, which supports the working environment through smart solutions, data analysis, process automation and AI-powered tools for employees and customers.
Among the projects reviewed was the smart assistant used in Smart Police Stations (SPS), which is designed to make policing and security services faster, easier and more accessible through an integrated system that operates around the clock.
The General Department of Artificial Intelligence also reported achievements in innovation and intellectual property, including seven awards and certificates of recognition, as well as the registration of 29 intellectual works.
Lt Gen Al Marri stressed the importance of continuing to develop Dubai Police’s AI ecosystem and integrating advanced technologies across all functions to improve efficiency, speed and accuracy.
He said rapid technological development requires continued investment in both innovation and specialised talent, highlighting the importance of combining advanced technology with human expertise.
He also emphasised the need to strengthen readiness and business continuity while continuously improving systems and services to ensure they remain seamless, secure and efficient.
Lt Gen Al Marri thanked employees of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence for their contributions to Dubai Police’s digital transformation and called for the continued development of innovative projects and the broader use of AI to enhance institutional performance and public services.
