Dubai: Global content creator and British entrepreneur Simon Squibb revealed that he has allocated the value of the $1 million prize he won during the third edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit 2025 to support and fund the dreams of thousands of people and help them turn their ambitions into reality. He stressed that money in its essence represents energy that can be directed towards creating opportunities and empowering others with knowledge, skills and opportunities to achieve an economic impact that goes beyond the beneficiaries themselves, and extends to their families and communities. Simon confirmed that his choice of Dubai as the headquarters for his business and team came from Dubai’s vision of anticipating the future and preparing for upcoming transformations. He said: “This characteristic that distinguishes Dubai is the same one that distinguishes successful entrepreneurs, whose success depends on anticipating new opportunities before they become an economic reality, and this place sees the vision that I see, and that is why I am here.” He noted that content produced in minutes can reach millions of people around the world, opening up new horizons for individuals to build their brands and establish successful companies. In detail, global content creator and British entrepreneur Simon Squibb said that he invested the value of the prize he won at the third edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit 2025 in supporting the dreams of others, adding that he funded thousands of people and helped promote their dreams, and continues to work on expanding the scope of this experience. In statements on the sidelines of the press conference held by the 1 Billion Followers Summit today to announce the launch of his 100 Dreams initiative , he added that money, for him, represents energy that can be employed to help people. He said injecting money into individuals and providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary to build their businesses enables them to achieve greater economic returns, provide sources of income for their families, and contribute to the growth of the economy, which allows for the reinvestment of these returns in supporting more people. This year, the 1 Billion Followers Summit announced the launch of the ‘100 Dreams' initiative in partnership with the UAE’s National Media Authority and Simon Squibb. He added that investing in people is not limited to providing funding, but also includes helping them acquire the knowledge necessary to achieve success, noting that enabling people to build their businesses and generate revenue from them creates a growing impact, as initial assistance can turn into successful projects, sources of income, and new job opportunities. Regarding the reasons for choosing Dubai as the headquarters for his business and team, Squibb said that what distinguishes the emirate is its vision for the future and its ability to recognise the opportunities that will shape the economy in the coming years. He added that a successful entrepreneur needs a future vision that helps him anticipate and prepare for transformations, noting that Dubai recognises the importance of media and content creation in the next stage, and believes in the opportunities that this sector provides for individuals and companies. He said that media, along with capital and talent, has become one of the most important tools for growth and business building, explaining that content produced in minutes can reach millions of people around the world, which gives content creators a great ability to build a wide audience, develop their businesses and reach new markets. He added that what he sees in Dubai aligns with his vision for the future of media, saying: “This place sees the vision that I see, and that’s why I’m here,” referring to the emirate’s belief in the opportunities offered by digital media and its ability to empower individuals to build their own projects. He stressed that media created by individuals has become a growing investment opportunity, as the role of the content creator is no longer limited to producing videos or posts, but has become able to benefit from his audience to build a brand, establish a company and develop competitive products and services. Squibb noted that he has around 27 million followers and his content achieves around 500 million views, considering that this fan base gives him the ability to reach large numbers of people and introduce them to opportunities and initiatives that can help them achieve their dreams.
