Lady Gaga and her fiancé Taylor Kinney have split up after five years together.
Sources have told gossip website TMZ that the 'Born This Way' hitmaker and the 35-year-old actor have reportedly gone their separate ways.
Gaga confirmed the reports on her social media pages and wrote: "Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates. Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break. We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on. We're just like everybody else and we really love each other."
The pair haven't been pictured together recently and she hasn't shared a picture of him on her social media accounts for over a month.
Last week, Gaga, 30, was seen without her engagement ring while she was out and about in Malibu.
Taylor celebrated his birthday on the same day.
Earlier this year, Gaga arrived at her 30th birthday celebrations wearing a gold band on her ring finger, instead of her diamond engagement ring, fuelling speculation the couple have secretly tied the knot.
Gaga and Taylor have two pet pooches together, French bulldogs Koji and Miss Asia Kinney, but it's not yet known who the canines will live with.
The 'Chicago Fire' actor popped the question on Valentine's Day 2015, but neither he nor Gaga have ever publicly announced a wedding date.
The pair celebrated the news with the singer's parents at their Manhattan eatery, Joanne Trattoria.
A source said at the time: "Gaga and Taylor were hanging out at the bar and Taylor looked kind of sheepish, like almost any guy would be, where he's with his future in-laws and she's showing off the ring.
"They were like any other couple -- she's showing off the ring and the dad is popping champagne and the groom-to-be is seeming somewhat nervous by all the excitement."
Careers to blame for split
Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney's careers have been blamed for their split after five years together.
The couple - who got engaged in February 2015 - recently called time on their five-year romance and insiders believe their conflicting schedules caused the break-up.
A source told PEOPLE: "Their work kept them apart a lot. 'Chicago Fire' keeps him in Chicago and her work is almost always elsewhere."
Taylor and Gaga met on the set of her 'You and I' video and she previously revealed how they kept their long-distance romance alive.
She said: "We don't have any rules about calling each other at certain times ... We'll go days at a time without talking and then we'll talk every day. He's on his journey and I'm on mine and we're gypsies. And then when we're together, we're really in love and that's it."
And she explained that her mother Cindy was in charge of planning the nuptials.
She said: "I think if I wouldn't let my mom do this with all of us and my family - I think if I would've denied the women of my life the planning of the wedding - they would probably kill me. I have all the help in the world in a way!"
The 'Born This Way' hitmaker was adamant her wedding to actor Taylor was going to be low-key.
She added: "We are not planning anything that is worth writing about."
