Police investigating an armed robbery at a jewellery store in Dubai's Wafi Mall have brought a suspect back to the UAE from Germany.
The arrest of Zivato Andrea, of Eastern European origin, was on a request from Dubai CID.
The man, using a false name, left the UAE shortly after the raid on the Graff store in April last year. During the robbery, raiders in two car smashed through the glass windows of the Graff store and stole jewellery valued at Dh14.7 million. They drove off to the Za'abeel area and abandoned the stolen cars there.
The investigations by Dubai CID led to Germany, where the suspect was hiding. German Police worked jointly with Dubai Police and the culprit was arrested. (Wam)
