Students of the two shut down villa schools in Al Ain will enjoy registration priority and lower fees.

In line with the government’s plan to close down all schools that operate from residential buildings Oasis Private School and New Hilal School, both located in Al Ain, have closed its doors.

While students are enjoying two weeks of Spring break, Oasis International is in preparation of opening its doors on the 8th of April this year.

“We have had the directive of Abu Dhabi Educational Council (ADEC) to give priority to all students that are relocating from Oasis Private School and New Al Hilal School,” tells P.K. Manaf, principal of Oasis International School.

Although the deadline for registration for the school year 2012-2013 is April 5 this year, students from the mentioned villa schools are given the possibility to register throughout the year, explained Mr. Manaf on the sidelines of his busy schedule.

In addition, students relocating from the two schools will be charged the same fee as they were charged at their previous school, whereas the regular fee for Oasis International School will be 20% higher, tells Shameer Alhaq, office secretary at Oasis International School.

Approximately 700 students from the Indian curriculum Oasis Private School have registered for this school year at Oasis International School, which will apply the CBSE-curriculum.

From Al Hilal Private School, which followed a Pakistani curriculum approximately 200 students have registered for this year.
