Dubai's long established media company TBWA/RAAD is tying up with Ketchum, one of the leading marketing communications company at global level.

The announcement is to be made formally at a special function on Wednesday at the Dubai Marina Yacht Club, in the presence of local executives from TBWA/RAAD and representatives of Ketchum.

The official communique announcing this coalition said: "This merger combines Ketchum's strong global management capabilities, collaborative culture and reputation for creativity with TBWA/RAAD's entrepreneurial style and creative thinking."

The new entity would be jointly called the Ketchum Raad Middle East.

The communique elaborated on the merger: "It is set to strengthen this best-in-class PR consultancy, bringing together high calibre talent and a range of clients, comprising many of the world's top brands and corporates."

Ketchum ranks among the largest and geographically diverse public relations agencies in the world and commands a leading position among the public relations agencies in Europe after combining operations in 2009 with Pleon – Europe's largest strategic communications consultancy – in one of the largest-ever mergers in the public relations industry.

The agency operates in more than 65 countries through more than 100 offices and affiliates, and is a unit of Omnicom Group.

Ketchum is the most award-winning agency in history, including winning 112 Public Relations Society of America Silver Anvil awards, according to its official website.
