Construction firm, National Projects & Construction (NPC), said yesterday it has completed the execution of Abu Dhabi's first Holiday Inn Hotel – the Holiday Inn Al Dana Hotel.

The UAE-based company said in a statement, it has handed over the structure for the interior fit out to its developer – Al Qudra Real Estate, the real estate arm of Al Qudra Holding.

The Dh215 million high-end business hotel with modern trappings is primarily targeted at the discerning business traveller and will be the third InterContinental Hotel Group property in the capital, NPC said, adding that the project was completed in April 2009.

Commenting on the handover of the structure, NPC Chairman Salem Al Neyadi said: "Building the first Holiday Inn brand hotel in the capital has been a very rewarding and unique experience. The Holiday Inn Al Dana has been a very challenging project to work on, as its architectural sophistication called for a special focus on detail."
