Mobile medical unit launched in Abu Dhabi for workers

The Emirates Mobile Hospital inaugurated its first mobile medical unit for occupational health and environmental safety.

The unit is designed to provide diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive care to workers.

It will visit construction sites and workers' cities, focusing on areas away from urban centres, and will diagnose illnesses and provide free treatment.

Khadim Al Dari, Chairman of the Emirates World Humanitarian Mobile Hospital Working Committee, stressed the importance of periodic examinations of workers to catch diseases in their early stages.

"The aim of establishing the unit is to conduct medical tests in addition to raising health awareness among workers," he added.
