Missing Bollywood starlet Laila Khan in the Gulf?

Shrouded in mystery, a new theory that has come to light claims that one-time Bollywood hopeful, Laila Khan, is not dead, but married and holed up in the Gulf.

A new identity was all it took for Khan to successfully flee India amidst dubious allegations that link her to the September 2011 incident in Delhi.

Sources in India now claim Khan is most likely in a Gulf country with her family of five.

The theory was further fuelled when an alleged close associate and family friend, Parvez Ahmed Tak confirmed the news, with Indian news site.

For those who recall, Khan and her family went missing a year ago when her father reported the same to the police after months of no news from his daughter.

The “Wafaa” actress, who even starred opposite the now ailing Rajesh Khanna in a Bollywood venture, gained notoriety when she and her family disappeared from their Oshiwara, Mumbai home last year.

In July 2011, news filtered down that the ‘missing’ family had been spotted in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir at a friend, Tak’s wedding, but disappeared once again shortly after.

However, two cars belonging to Khan’s mother Saleena have been found abandoned in Jammu and Kashmir.

Khan is reportedly on the run with her mother Saleena, two sisters, two cousins, and her stepfather Ateeq.
