The percentage of registration of identity card and population register surged 200 per cent during March.
The Higher Administration Committee at Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA) lauded in a meeting held on Wednesday at the EIDA headquarters, the positive response of the citizens to the registration process.
Dr Engineer Ali Mohammed Al Khoori, Director General of EIDA, who chaired the meeting, called on citizens who have not yet registered to speed up their registration process before the final grace period expires by June 30.
The Population Register Programme is a national pioneering project that comes under the significant development plans in the UAE. It is considered one of the governmental initiatives aiming at achieving the continued development and growth in all aspects of life. The programme is also one of the e- governmental projects.
