Emirates Identity Authority (Eida) has announced launch of its new application form for ID cards across the UAE.

Applicants can fill in the application form easily and conveniently through its website in 10 easy steps within 10 minutes, according to the authority.
Filling the form online can help save an applicant Dh30 in typing fees.

In April, Dr Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Director General, Eida, said they expect the new form to save over Dh120 million annually for companies and individuals.

He added that the new application form is characterised with "innovative features and high dynamics, and is a role model in terms of both form and content, and in simplicity and clarity".

“Eida is keen on developing it in a way that would allow using it by all levels of society, easily and conveniently.”
The new form can be filled in both Arabic and English, and it allows the individuals the services of first time registration in the ID card, the renewal of expired ID card and replacement of lost or damaged cards.

Eida has said that the new e-form is not allowed for typing centres without an official consent from the authority.
