Major General Dr. Ahmed Zaal bin Krishan Al Muhairi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Financial and Administrative Sector Affairs, said Dubai Police's participation in Arabian Travel Market 2026 reflects its commitment to taking part in major international events hosted by Dubai. He said the participation provides an opportunity to showcase the force's tourism security system, as well as its smart and innovative services that enhance the visitor experience and reinforce Dubai's position as a safe global destination for tourism and business. The exhibition is being held at Dubai World Trade Centre from 14 to 17 September, with broad participation from the global travel and tourism industry.

Al Muhairi made the remarks during a visit to the Dubai Police stand at the exhibition. He was accompanied by Major General Dr. Tariq Tahlak, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Community Happiness and Logistics Support, Major General Mohammed Essa Al Azab, Director of the General Directorate of Logistics Support, and several directors and deputy directors. During the visit, he reviewed the key services and initiatives being presented to visitors and industry specialists.

Al Muhairi praised the platform's smart solutions, which use the latest technologies to serve residents, visitors and tourists. He stressed that security is a key factor in the success of the tourism sector and its continued growth. He added that Dubai Police works closely with its partners to provide proactive and seamless services that improve visitors' experiences and facilitate access to security services throughout their journey.

The platform showcased a model of the new Dubai Police Academy building in the First Vision area. The project is one of Dubai Police's strategic developments. It covers an area of 155 hectares and will accommodate up to 2,500 students. The development includes residential, educational, administrative and sports facilities, alongside a health centre and a theatre with capacity for around 1,000 people.

The sports complex will feature 17 facilities, including an indoor sports hall, indoor and outdoor Olympic-size swimming pools, a football field, padel, tennis and volleyball courts. It will also include a 26-room hotel for sports teams. The project features a main plaza with capacity for 2,500 people, a police operations training city, and a 3.5-kilometre cycling and running track. Completion is expected in 2027.

The platform also highlighted the service that allows users to check circulars and travel bans through the Dubai Police smart app and website. The service enables customers to view their status in most financial and criminal reports and identify the relevant authorities handling any case, without visiting police stations or other government entities. It forms part of Dubai Police's digital transformation efforts and supports the government's goal of reducing bureaucracy.

The services on display also included the "Police Eye" service, which allows members of the public to report violations and other negative incidents through text or voice messages, photos and videos. Users can also share the location of an incident, supporting community participation in enhancing security.

During the exhibition, Dubai Police is also organising awareness sessions for tourists on tourism security. Visitors are being introduced to services including the Smart Police Station, the Lost and Found System, the e-Crime platform and the Cybercrime Awareness Platform. The initiatives aim to strengthen the integration of security services with the travel and tourism experience in Dubai. The participation also aligns with ATM's role as a platform that brings together travel and tourism industry leaders and experts and showcases the latest solutions and innovations shaping the sector.
