Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has unveiled his new book 'Letters', which represents the second part of 'Life Taught Me' and includes a collection of messages based on his experiences over nearly six decades in public service and serving the nation.

In a post on X, Sheikh Mohammed said: “Brothers and sisters, life has taught me that our lives are part of the story of our homelands, and the wisdom is to add a chapter worthy of being read by future generations.”

He added: “Today, as I approach about sixty years of public service in the service of the nation, I have written a series of messages to my brothers, my sons, my grandchildren, my work team, my people, and to everyone who sees in our experience something worthy of contemplation.”

Sheikh Mohammed said he wrote the messages because “life is fleeting, but ideas grow and remain”.

“I wrote them because it is a matter of trust to leave something that shortens the path for those who will carry the trust after us,” he said.

He added that the messages have been compiled in the book 'Letters', which represents the second part of 'Life Taught Me'.

Sheikh Mohammed noted that the first message in the collection is addressed to “my brother, friend, and companion, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God protect him”.

Concluding his message, Sheikh Mohammed said: “We ask God to grant us success, to make our ideas beneficial, to protect our homelands, and to guide our generations.”

He signed the message: “Your brother, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum”.
