Gitex Shopper offer on university scholarships

Gitex Shopper has a reputation for offering bargain offers and freebies. It isn’t just smartphones and tablets, previous editions have featured holiday packages and luxury cars through raffle draws and gifts.

In a new literary twist to the otherwise geeky tale, Dubai World Trade Centre has partnered with the Amity University to award a one-year scholarship for the Bachelor’s Degree programme at the University.

The eight-day Gitex Shopper will start on September 27 and a scholarship will be awarded on each day of the show.

Since this year’s courses have already started, Class XI students are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

“Every day we select an applicant with the highest marks. The value of the scholarship is Dh35,000. It covers the first year’s fees for most of the courses, except for engineering degrees,” said Manjyot Sandhu General Manager – Marketing at Amity in the UAE.
