Asian found hanging in Sharjah

An Indian worker was found hanging at his room in Sharjah’s industrial zone 12 and police said they believe he had committed a suicide.

The 29-year-old man was found hanging by a piece of cloth wrapped around his neck and tied to the ceiling in his room in the zone.

Police did not identify the man but said they are investigating his motives.

20 'indecent' Ethiopian women held in Kuwait

Kuwaiti police arrested 20 Ethiopian women dressed indecently and hunting for customers as part of anti-vice campaign during the fast month of Ramadan.

Newspapers said the 20 women were seized by police patrolling key roads in various places of Kuwait City after Iftar (Ramadan evening meal).

“They were wearing indecent clothes and were offering prohibited services to men in public places,” Alanba daily said, quoting a police spokesman.
