The Abu Dhabi Investment Company said yesterday it would operate under a new brand name – Invest AD. The firm also announced the creation of four major investment funds to attract global capital to the UAE and other Arab countries. Invest AD chiefs said the company would capitalise on a global recovery. "The message here today is relatively simple, namely that the Abu Dhabi Investment Company is taking on a new brand name. But the implications of this name change are a little more far-reaching," said Invest AD Chairman Khalifa Al Kindi after announcing the company's new logo and strategy. Invest AD Chief Executive Officer Nazem Al Kudsi said the company, which was created by the Abu Dhabi Government in 1977 as the oldest public investment firm in the region, would focus on institutional investors worldwide to "invest alongside the Abu Dhabi Government".
