Diva Files Lawsuit

Pop legend Cher is suing Universal Music Group, alleging the label's accounting has shortchanged her and the heirs of her late ex-husband, Sonny Bono, to the tune of $5 million (Dh18m). Filed earlier this week, the lawsuit claims an audit of UMG's accounts to the singer-actress showed executives had "engaged in wrongful tactics" to hide revenue from two hit compilation albums.
