Dubai Airports has made changes to its senior management team, which includes new appointments as well as reinforcing the responsibilities of some of its existing team members, ahead of the opening of Dubai's Al Maktoum International Airport in June next year. The management body yesterday said that the changes also reflect continued commitment to further strengthen Dubai Airports' leadership team. As a part of the team overhaul, Dubai Airports has appointed Amer Kazem as Senior Vice-President, Group Services, responsible for finance, IT and procurement functions. Kazem, who joined Dubai Airports from Meeras Holding, also spent eight years with Emirates as Senior Vice-President for Finance. Jamal Al Hai would continue his role as Senior Vice-President, Strategy and Development, while assuming additional responsibility for the solutions team, which will cover all activities connected with the development of both Dubai World Central and Dubai International, said Dubai Airports in a statement. It added that Chris Garton has taken up the role of Senior Vice-President, Operations, as he assumes the responsibility for the operations teams comprising terminal operations, airside operations and engineering for both Dubai International and Dubai World Central.
