Bollywood X-files: Curious case of Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif

Bollywood's all about its love stories – on and off screen. So, when a much-celebrated romance goes kaput, there's a lot at heartache and gossip.

So, while much of the Indian entertainment media stayed focused on solving the untimely death of TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee, there were a few who couldn’t ignore the buzz around a reunion (of sorts) of actors and 'ex-lovers' Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif.

The two were spotted at their close friend Aarti Shetty’s birthday bash.

But what eventually came out from the so-called patch-up was a bit sketchy, and strangely contradictory.

While one reported that the two stayed late partying till Ranbir first and then, Katrina left almost immediately, even hinting they could’ve gone somewhere else to catch up. “They were at the party at the same time and also spoke to each other cordially. What's more, they seemed pretty comfortable around each other,” it reported.

There were also reports that hinted at a cold war between the two. Ranbir and Katrina remained at different corners of the room, not even glancing at one another. A source said, “Ranbir left early and Kat followed in a couple of minutes. There was no interaction whatsoever.”

Ranbir and Katrina have gained a lot of publicity for their (not-so) hush-hush romance over beach holidays and family dinners, and it was shocking when they cut each other off recently. While the actors have remained comfortably dumb about their relationship status, we can’t but help terming it 'complicated!'.
