Salman Khan has confirmed that though he has multiple offers up his sleeve, his next film will be all about family – his family, that is.

Salman has Anees Bazmee’s ‘Ready’ with Asin, but the actor who is working in brother-in-law, Aul Agnihotri-produced ‘Bodyguard’ is ensuring that all the profits from the film coming up next also stays within the family.

While ‘Dabangg’ clearly established Arbaaz Khan as a top notch producer, Sher Khan is the next film that Salman Khan will be acting in, followed by Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Kick’ with Shirish Kunder.

So then, after Chulbul Pandey in ‘Dabanng’ and Lovely Singh in ‘Bodyguard’, it is going to be the eponymous role of Sher Khan for Sallu.

Shera incidentally is the name of his bodyguard.

So what’s Sher Khan all about?

“Sher Khan is a film that is being directed by my brother Sohail Khan,” says Salman.

Khan. However. does not get into details of the film and says the audience should now be ready to watch ‘Ready’. “There are some two to three very good action scenes in the film, like in ‘Dabangg’ and the people should get ready to watch ‘Ready’,” he says.

Salman Khan is not working with Mahesh Manjrekar on the remake of the actor-filmmaker’s Marathi film ‘Shikshnacha Aai Cha Gho’.

‘Shikshanacha Aai Cha Gho’ is aimed at the educational system and Manjrekar was keen to remake that film in Hindi with Sallu iin Hindi.

Mahesh and Sallu had acted together in Dabangg and Mahesh hoped to get Sallu work in the remake. But then all didn’t transpire well because Salman Khan did feel that the film was not the kind of massy movie that he wanted to be a part of.

Salman has done a film like ‘Phi Milenge’ apart from movies like ‘Khamoshi’ which have not done well and the actor clearly knows that he wants to take his image as a mass hero ahead. “There’s nothing called art cinema,” says Khan.

“This was a movie that I was keen to work on. I wanted to also bring the audience to the cinemas rather than just get appreciation from a few critics. I am not keen to work in movies which do not draw the audience into the theatres in the opening weekend,” admits the actor.
