Salman Khan is going crazy over ‘Mental’
We told you earlier about how Salman Khan’s ‘Mental’ will not get a Eid release this year because there’s much work left on the set, but now we hear that the shooting schedules were further disrupted following a squabble on the set.
According the reports in the Indian media, a tiff erupted between the stuntmen from Mumbai and those from Hyderabad.
Apparently, there’s conflict over how many stuntmen from the South – mainly Hyderabad and Chennai – can work in a Hindi movie.
It’s the ratio over Mumbai stuntmen versus the South Indian stuntmen that sparked the clash.
According to MissMalini.com, the All India Film Employees Confederation claims 30% of the stuntmen have to be from the South, but the South Indian stuntmen insist that their representation should be 50%.
They’ve even refused to work until this happens, and the 12-day lock down has cost the producers nearly INR25crores.
The issue is yet to be resolved hinting at more losses.
The Khan brothers – Salman and Sohail – have since filed a complaint with the Association of Motion Pictures and TV Programme Producers, the president of which is Sajid Nadiadwala.
There’s still no word on when the situation will be resolved.
This tussle has clearly impacted Salman, who was caught looking dull and dowdy.
Directed by Sohail, ‘Mental’ has been in much trouble ever since the project kicked off.
There have also been reports that suggesting that a few fighters from Hyderabad and Chennai have filed an official complaint claiming they were paid way less than their Mumbai peers. When their plea was rejected then they staged a walk-out.
Initially, Salman’s health checks in the UA and court hearings in the Mumbai hit-and-run case had stalled the ‘Mental’ shoot.
