Love and marriage Love will happen when it has to. One cannot wait for it to happen and one cannot run away from it too. But then it is a matter of destiny. I am not the types who will go chasing love. It happens. It happened to my parents and they got married 30 years ago. Like them too, I will marry someone I fall in love with. I firmly believe in the institution of marriage. My parents have been married for three decades and I have seen ups and downs in their marriage, but then they have made it work and happen. Th guy I marry needs to be tall. He should take care of me and make me laugh. Father Shatrughan Sinha I have always been daddy’s blue eyed girl. I have always ordered him around from childhood and he given me the liberty to do so. I have two brothers Luv and Kush and I became the apple of dad’s eye because I was a girl and got a lot more privileges. I was very small when father had once taken me to school. He did not know where my class was and someone told my father that the class was on the fifth floor. He didn’t know where the lift was and s he walked five flights up and realised that the nursery section was on the ground floor. He still reminds me about it. He was always a very god father despite being a busy and a popular star. Stardom My parents always made sure that we were away from my father’s stardom. They were very particular that we should be treated like normal children and people should not give us preferential treatment over others. For instance I accompanied my father to a film set only when I was eight, after having gone with him much earlier when I was too small to understand. When I saw so many people taking his autograph, I realized that he was someone very big. I also got a chance to accompany him once on a political rally and then realised what a big draw he was. Exposing on screen Whatever I am today is a lot due to the goodwill created by my parents and I would never want to let them down. I am not against those who want to expose, because they may have their own reasons for it. I will not go in for it. My fans are proud of the fact that I am working on my terms. I am happy doing family entertainers and will continue doing so. I have maintained this at the beginning of my career and it will continue. Women I am very proud to be a woman and proud of women like Sania Mirza and Saina Nehwal who keep the country’s flag high. Having said that, I condemn women that want to play the woman card just to trouble others.
