Kanse, Murtaza smash blistering centuries

Prabodhan Kanse and Bilal Murtaza smashed blistering centuries as Yogi Group trounced Al Ittihad by 94 runs in the second Al Dhaid Ramadan T20 tournament, organised by the Sharjah Cricket Council, for the Conmix Cup at Al Dhaid Cricket Village. Murtaza scored 108 off 58 balls with 10 fours and six sixes while Kanse weighed in with an equally-aggressive 102 not off 56 balls which included 13 fours and three sixes as Yogi Group piled up a massive 235 for one in the allotted 20 overs. Al Ittihad, in reply, were never in the hunt. They were restricted to 141 for six despite good contributions from Gul Jamil (48 off 23 with two fours and six sixes) and Shamroz (35 off 36). In another match, Ahmed Hadi claimed three wickets for 43 runs as Al Futtaim Panatech defeated Al Mawsim by 11 runs. Al Futtaim Panatech, batting first, posted a challenging 178 for seven with Kaleem contributing 40 off 25 balls with three fours and three sixes. Al Mawsim CC, in reply, stumbled near the post. Abdul Ghafoor (45 off 28 with two fours and four sixes) kept his team’s hopes alive. Ibrahim Malik (28 off 21) and Sajjad Ahmed (26 off 23) also made good starts.
