Mohamed Salah handed six-month driving ban in England
Egyptian footballer fined and disqualified from driving after failing to identify the driver of a speeding Rolls-Royce
London: Egyptian football star Mohamed Salah has been handed a six-month driving ban in England after a Rolls-Royce registered in his name was caught speeding.
According to British newspaper The Sun, the vehicle, valued at more than €466,000, was detected exceeding the speed limit by a speed camera in March 2026.
The report said Salah, 34, failed to inform police who was driving the vehicle at the time of the offence.
In August, a court in Warrington, Cheshire, convicted Salah in his absence for failing to identify the driver and imposed a six-month driving disqualification along with a fine of €769.
The report added that Salah did not respond to two notices sent to his mansion, which is estimated to be worth more than €5 million.
The offence reportedly occurred in the Wilmslow area of Cheshire, two days after he announced his departure from Liverpool.
This is not the first time Salah has faced motoring-related issues. In 2022, he was caught speeding while driving his Ferrari F8 Tributo and received a fine along with three penalty points on his driving licence.
He was also photographed using a mobile phone while driving near Anfield in 2018.
