The recently crowned 2012 youth champion of the Khalifa International Bowling Centre’s NDC Ramadan Bowling Tournament has set her sights on winning the adult division too.

Samantha Hannan, 16, from Great Britain blew away the field in the youth final last week finishing with a total of 1405 and an average score of 232.

She will be the youngest competitor in the field when she lines up in the adult ladies final on Tuesday.

Hannan successfully defended the youth title she captured last year by finishing ahead of Russell Andres of the Philippines and Khamis Saeed Shamsy of the UAE, who finished second and third respectively.

Hannan is also the defending 2011 ladies champion.

Speaking about her victory in the youth division this year, Hannan said: “I’m delighted to be champion again. I dedicate a lot of time to practice and it has brought good results for me.

“I’m very confident thanks to this victory so I hope that will help me as I move into the adult division finals. Last year I was able to capture both divisions and I’d like to do the same again this year.”

Hannan took home Dh4,000 for winning the youth division title and will compete for the top prize of Dh3,000 in the ladies division on Tuesday.
