Abu Dhabi court orders woman to repay AED60,000 after marriage plans collapse
Court upholds signed acknowledgement and settlement agreement, requiring the woman to return money and gold-related debt to the claimant

In its ruling, the court said the signed acknowledgement established the defendant's obligation to repay AED17,300 and return two ounces of gold. The court noted that the defendant did not dispute the validity of the acknowledgement and had instead proposed a settlement of AED60,000, which was accepted by the claimant.
