Three days of official mourning announced; funeral prayers to be held at King Faisal Mosque after Friday’s Asr prayer

Sharjah Ruler’s Court mourns Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi

Sharjah: The Court of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has mourned the passing of Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, who died on Friday, September 11.

Sheikh Mohammed was the brother of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi.

In a statement, the Ruler’s Court extended its sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased and the wider Al Qasimi family, praying to Almighty Allah to grant him His mercy and a place in Paradise, and to grant his family patience and solace.

Funeral prayers will be held after Asr prayer on Friday at King Faisal Mosque in Sharjah, following which Sheikh Mohammed will be laid to rest at Al Jubail Cemetery.

Condolences for men will be received at the residence of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, in Al Badi’ suburb, starting Saturday and continuing for three days.

Condolences will be received from 9am until Dhuhr prayer and from after Asr prayer until Maghrib prayer.

Women may offer condolences at the residence of the deceased in Al Tarfa area in Sharjah.

Three days of official mourning have been declared, beginning Friday, September 11.
