UAE weather forecast: Humidity drops to 85% as temperatures hold steady at 43°C in Dubai

Dubai: Expect a slight drop in humidity today, as temperatures hold steady in the low-40s across the UAE.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts fair to partly cloudy weather today, with clouds forming eastward and southward. Light to moderate winds, freshening at times, will reach speeds of 30km/h in coastal regions.

Lower humidity and steady temperature

Temperatures remain in the low-40s across the country today.

Coastal and island regions will experience highs between 39°C and 44°C, while internal regions will be warmer, at 41°C to 45°C.

Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah will reach 43°C today, while Umm Al Quwain will peak at 41°C and Ajman at 40°C. Fujairah will be relatively cooler at 36°C.

While humidity has been high over the past few days, causing fog and mist to develop in some coastal and internal areas, it is expected to reduce gradually, from today until Wednesday. The relative humidity (RH) is peaking at 85% in coastal areas this evening, and at 70% in internal regions, according to the NCM, compared to 90% previously.

Calm sea conditions

The NCM forecasts calm sea conditions, both in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman today. You can expect gentle waves reaching heights of two feet on-shore and up to three feet off-shore, making it the perfect weather for evening beach visits.
