Asian held for robbing 11 shops in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Police arrested an Indian man accused of stealing nearly Dh50,000 and expensive items from 11 shops and other places.

The man was accused of breaking into clinics, hair dressing saloons and mobile phone shops in various parts of the emirate at night.

Newspapers said the 30-year-old man was also found to be wanted by the police for issuing a dud cheque and absconding from his employer.

“Some of the stolen items have been recovered…they include expensive items from 11 clinics, hair dressing saloons and mobile phone shops,” Abu Dhabi Capital police chief Colonel Ahmed Al Muhairi said.
