The Dubai Criminal Court sentenced two drunk guards to three months in prison after finding them guilty of assaulting a co-worker and causing him one per cent permanent disability.

BKR, 27, and JA, 25, both Nepalese, were also ordered to be deported after serving their jail term.

ACA, 33, Filipino security guard, testified that he went to the accommodation of the accused and asked them for meat. They replied that they do not have meat. “All of a sudden, one of them twisted my arm and the other one punched me in my face. It hurt my lips and a tooth dropped,” he testified.

BKR confessed to assaulting the victim after a verbal fight.  JA admitted that BKR punched ACA.

Forensic reported injuries in the lower lip of the victim and the teeth of the upper jaw forming one per cent permanent disability that could have resulted from hitting by hand or a hard tool.
