Mum kills 2 children, commits suicide

An Egyptian mother slashed the veins of her only two children then jumped to death from her third floor apartment after leaving a letter to her husband asking him to donate their organs to the church, newspapers reported on Saturday.

Police found the two boys, Meena, 11, and Betoun, 1.5, lying in a pool of blood in bed at their flat in the Egyptian capital Cairo while their mother Mariam Kamal, 33, was also lying dead on the ground after jumping down.

Newspapers said the mother left a letter to her husband asking him to donate his children’s organs to the church and telling him that she decided to kill herself and her children so they will have a better life after death.
