Sub-contracts awarded for Ajman Uptown project

Sweet Homes General Contracting (SHGC), the main contractor for the Ajman Uptown project, has awarded two sub-contracts for the 1,504 villas project within the master development.

Al Ibhar Electrical Contracting and Elegant Electromechanical Contracting has been awarded the MEP, air-conditioning and fire-fighting sub-contract while Liwa Building Contracting has won as the civil sub-contractor.

The developer did not disclose the value of the sub-contracts.

SHGC has also announced that it has completed the sub-structure of all villas within the development marking the first key construction milestone. Superstructure works are progressing rapidly across all townhouses and five-bedroom VIP villas within the project. SHGC is the in-house contracting arm of Sweet Homes Group.

In line with the developer's commitment to transparency, the project is being closely monitored by the Ajman Real Estate Regulatory Agency (Arra), said a statement from the developer. In addition, third-party construction auditors and quantity surveying companies have also provided affirmative reports after auditing the construction progress and verifying the actual items of constructional components on site. Dubai Islamic Bank, which is the custodian institution where the escrow account for the community project was opened, is also conducting regular monthly site inspections through its technical team and is giving satisfactory remarks.

Spanning approximately four million square feet, the project design theme takes inspiration from classic French architecture.
