Facebook 'greatest security threat' to companies

Facebook poses the greatest security risk to companies, as they don't have the right solutions and tools to protect their networks from rising threats, an internet security firm has said.

According to a new report published by Sophos, Facebook poses the greatest security risk to companies. Last month, the Information Security Forum released its list of the top 10 security threats facing companies in the next two years. Cyber attacks took the top spot, followed by infrastructure weaknesses.

"Customers must address threats as network security, e-mail security and secure remote access, as well as backup. They must be able to control, manage and protect the productivity of global networks and remain a step ahead of threats," said Shahnawaz Sheikh, Regional Sales Manager, Middle East and Africa, Sonicwall.
