After a month of fasting, it's time for unlimited feasting. And the month of September is “All About Chocolate” at Park Hyatt Dubai, where the international chocolatiers of Felchlin Switzerland will showcase the art of making confectionery. Led by internationally acclaimed pâtissier Anil Rohira of Felchlin Switzerland, Park Hyatt Dubai’s pastry team will highlight the ultimate extravagance of Switzerland’s culinary heritage. Ever since the tasty secret of the cacao tree was discovered, chocolate has become one of the world’s finest treasures. From 20 to 24 September, Traiteur’s dessert menu will become a pool of bitter, sweet and creamy concoctions with a range of home-made chocolate treats. Tradition meets innovation with a specially composed Felchlin dessert menu featuring such irresistible delights as a Trio of Rose. Those who would like to discover the secrets of chocolate-making or simply create an extraordinary dessert for their next dinner party are invited to join Anil Rohira’s Chocolate Workshop on Tuesday, 21 September. From 10.30am, Anil will share his versions of brownies, chocolate mousse and small confections. The workshop will last for two hours and is priced at Dh200 per person. Exciting news will spread among the little ones with the launch of Felchlin’s Kids’ Chocolate Master Class. Chocolate cup cakes and chocolate chip cookies will be baked in this cooking class tailored specially for children and held on Wednesday, September 22 from 3.30pm to 5pm in the hotel’s Chef’s Table; it is priced at Dh150 per child (5-12 years). All About Chocolate will also be the leading theme in Pistache, Park Hyatt Dubai’s chic pastry boutique, from 20 to 24 September. Anil Rohira has created a range of exquisite desserts and pralines, one more tempting than the next. Guests can simply take home a Chocolate Passionfruit Cake, Grand Cru Chocolate Bars and Pistache Pralines. And Friday Brunch at the Park will feature a special chocolate dessert collection on September 24. The award-winning Traiteur Brunch offers diners the chance to choose from among four brunch packages presented by Chef de Cuisine Franck Detrait and his culinary team, available from 12.30pm to 4pm.
