Saudi medics had to call the civil defence to transport a patient weighing nearly 150 kg to hospital after they failed to lift him, a local newspaper said Thursday.

The Red Crescent team tried to transport the unconscious 65-year-old patient to hospital and tried to carry him all the way from the second floor at his house in the central town of Bareeda, Sahafaonline Arabic language daily reported.

“After they could not lift him because of his excessive weight, they called the civil defence to help them,” the paper said. “Civil defence members managed to carry the patient and take him to the hospital, where he was saved.”
