Dubai Metro's new SMS helpline

The Dubai Metro has now launched a service where passengers can get journey schedules by sending an SMS to the number ‘5223’ containing the letter D, followed by the code of the Metro station.

The service was announced by Ramadan Abdulla, director of Rail Operations at the Roads and Transport Authority, (RTA) on Friday.

He said that a customer would receive a message communicating the timing of three inbound journeys.

“The service has been started in coordination with the Public Transport Agency via the timetables of the Journey Planner (Wojhati),” he said, adding that the exercise saves much time and effort of customers.

“The SMS service will enable riders to know the Metro schedules in a precise and handy manner.”

The arrival and departure timings are also displayed on the monitors and the Metro Guide available on all Green and Red Metro Line stations.
