'Drunk' Syrians claim wrong indictment

Arrest
The case of two Syrians accused of consuming alcohol and assaulting policemen has been adjourned until August 24 because of inaccurate facts on the accusation sheet.
According to the charge sheet, WHS and WMR were taken into custody on May 15 for having resisted arrest and assaulting cops in a drunken state.
However, the two denied the charges.
WHS, who is out on bail, told the Dubai Misdemeanour Court that they were never together and that he was arrested upon his arrival at the airport.
Meanwhile, WMR, who is still in police custody, has applied for bail.
Judge Ibrahim Khalil Abu Shamma asked the representative of Dubai Prosecution to check and correct the accusation sheet.
