A Mini Mart convenience store at an Eppco petrol station in Dubai's Nad al Hammar area opposite Coca Cola Round was partially damaged by a fire.

The timely intervention by firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to the petrol tankage area where thousands of litres of fuel are stored.

According to Eppco/Enoc officials, the fire was spotted at about 1.30pm and did not cause any injury or fatality. “There was a fire inside a mini mart in the Nad al Hammar route Eppco petrol station adjacent the Number 1034 Eppco stations. It happened at about 1.30pm and there is no casualty or injury. Only the store items have been lost in the fire,” said an Eppco/Enoc Customer Service Agent.

He said the fire was controlled and was confined to the Mini Mart.

Last year Emirates National Oil Company (Enoc) launched an Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) to deal with industry-related incidents and emergencies.
