Two Pakistani suspects have denied they were drug dealers and told a Dubai court that the 1.1 kg of heroin found with them was to be passed on to another contact. Prosecutors accused BK, 40, and SR of possessing 138 capsules containing 1.1 kg of heroin with the sole intention of selling. They were netted in an undercover anti-narcotics operation involving a corporal who acted as a buyer. But BK testified before the Dubai Court of First Instance that he was supposed to deliver the consignment of narcotics to someone else in the Naif area. Chief Prosecutor Walid Ali Al Fuqaie, head of the Drugs Prosecution, however sought maximum punishment on the two men. The Pakistani corporal also testified before the court and confirmed that he was assigned for the job. A third Pakistani national, NK, 25, was charged with consuming morphine.
