Several companies based in the UAE, including big names like Tecom, Nakheel, Philips, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Standard Chartered and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank are hiring today at the American University of Dubai (AUD).

The career fair is taking place today and is hosting employers and recruiters from varying fields while offering students exposure to the demands and expectations of the business community.

Organisers AUD maintains the annual career fair helps employers set up information booths, advertise available vacancies, collect CVs and interview potential candidates. Key personnel from participating companies also offer workshops for students on a range of career-related topics.

The event also provides an opportunity for companies to connect with students and alumni to discuss current and/or future career related employment and internship opportunities.

The next big career fair on the UAE calendar is Career 2015, which is to take place from April 28 to 30 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. That event will offer more opportunities to the Emirati workforce. 

More than 160 exhibitors are expected to attend this fair – including multi-national companies, academic institutions, global industry leading corporations and raft of UAE-based organisations.

This year’s edition is expected to draw more than 18,000 visitors and prospective job applicants. 

Big names like Dubai Customs, Dewa, Dubai Land Department, Dubai Municipality, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc), Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, Al Futtaim Group, Al Habtoor Group, Commercial Bank Of Dubai, Department Of Tourism & Commerce Marketing, DP World, Dubai Chamber Of Commerce & Industry, Emirates Group, Emirates NBD and flydubai are among many other exhibitors that will be participating at the annual fair.

Ladies only sessions will be held on Wednesday, April 29, from 10am-1pm and from 1pm-7pm.
